There is a certain beauty, simplicity and FINALITY you get when securing Linux that you just can't get with windows!! All the drone devs have to do is write secure apps for the drones, install them and never give the pilots root access! I blame the weakness of windows on the whole GUI mind-set and this arrogance that feels they can put a bunch of geniuses in-house and out think the rest of the world.
