> Way to go ... or not!

Hari,

Yesterday's blackout protest caused key backers (including
co-sponsors) of this legislation to run away faster than Italian
cruise-ship captains:

It has greatly educated the general public and thrust the topic of
intellectual property rights into the national discussion overnight.
I'm currently in the New York City area and callers to local radio
stations are asking questions like "why are we passing laws to support
outdated business models," "what is the value of information," and
"why would we allow our government to censor the Internet?" It
spawned open discussion on television, radio, and the street about
censorship, the value of information, and the need for copyright
reform:

...and if you don't think the outcome of all of this will affect you
or the technology landscape in Uganda, you're not paying enough
attention :)

Regards,
Kyle Spencer
