Thanks Bob, it's the same in Italian, I thought I had written "cents".
As for the 5 cents discrimination, I remember I played duets (guitar) with a flutist, and we realized some notes were not in tune, so we checked with the tuning-box and the difference was less than 5 cents, but still audible. The problem was solved when I tuned the guitar by octaves and fifths, adjusting the thirds in the end, as Stewart says.
