That was my feelings too! Nevertheless, this has been highly entertaining, educational, original and not too far off-topic, trying to find the Latin name for guts (strings). Would someone now come up with a nice heraldic design for a cap/lapel-badge or motif with this motto? We could use it for a club-tie, sweater, lute-case sticker etc. The Lute Society, LSA etc. may be very interested in this idea. All thanks to David van Ooijen if you remember. We might be thought of as heroes/veterans/old-soldiers when we are traveling with our misshapen (battered?) lute-cases bearing these words! We could all be in this together!
