If it is indeed a properly formatted DVD, you can use VobEdit to demux the .VOB into elementary streams, which will be .m2v video and .ac3 audio files. You can then convert the .ac3 to whatever format you like (.wav, .mp3) with BeLight/BeSweet. These are free programs. Not sure if they are available for mac.
