Rainer has asked about where there is a solo version of this piece that we know as a duet, and I don;t know of any. But what about other English duets in solo versions? I have played through several Flat Pavans that certainly don't have the charm of the duet. I have always thought that some of the treble and ground duets might be successfully re-arranged as solos. There is the Lord Willoughy duet, where the second part seems to have been added later and has a melody line that is a sort of descant. I can't think of any other duets with solo versions. Does anhyone know of others? Nancy At 12:54 AM 1/25/2010, Spring, aus dem, Rainer wrote:

No, only one part of a duet has survived.
