Land of the Fish, Japan. My teacher kindy gave me her instrument, and
with it a whole load of strings, to last me a life time. But there are
shops galore in Japan that supply silk to shami players. It's quite a
fad these days, shamisen playing. Mostly Tsugaru, but still.

David - will play shami in Gijon this Summer. Beware ...
