It is an engraving from JosA(c) GarcAa Hidalgo`s Principios para estudiar el nobilAsimo y real arte de la pintura (Madrid, 1693), intending to show in perspective a rule on how to fret instruments (unfortunately the proportions are wrong). There is a modern edition, Valencia, Universidad PolitA(c)cnica, 2006. Best wishes for 2016. __________________________________________________________________
