But to open the case and connect a DVD drive for installing shouldn't be a problem? The last time I had to use a "branded" CD drive was in the 90ies when Sun SPARC machines failed to boot from "no Sun" CD drives. For that reason I kept one external Sun CD drive which was probably 20 times slower than everything else available at the time.
