I have actually tried to get lxterminal -e to behave like xterm -e without any success. The reason that I tried to "fix" this is because there is also a bug on the Debian bug tracker about it [1]. If this gets marked as "wont-fix" it pretty much means that lxterminal can not be used as an x-terminal-emulator which kind of limits its use on a Debian system. @Marty if this feature is easy for you to add please do so. I can also send you my code and perhaps you can spot my mistake.
