I'm sorry I got excited before and forgot to mention: I want customize the lxde logout screen by placing the logo on the left side and changing the banner image. As I described earlier I found that there are different ways how this logout screen is invoked. One in the menu and another one in the panel itself. Editing ~/.config/lxsession/LXDE/deskopt.conf didn't have any effect. Therefore I'm planning to edit the entry in /usr/share/applications/lxde-logout.desktop. Since this seems the easiest and most reliable way to do. So I'm wondering about possible known complications that might arise. Especially when changing the logout entry of the menu. Is this the right approach I'm taking when I want to change the banner and it's position on the logout screen? Thanks again for your input and advice.
