A check on the current and stable changelogs for Slackware doesn't show

The ftp site says 5.4 - which is understandable since Pat tries to use
stable releases. But even building dev.16c against ncurses 5.4, I don't
see a problem. If it's worth an upload, here's what ldd says about what
I have (Debian/testing):
ldd lynx
libbz2.so.1.0 => /lib/libbz2.so.1.0 (0x40030000)
libssl.so.0.9.8 => /usr/lib/i686/cmov/libssl.so.0.9.8 (0x40041000)
libcrypto.so.0.9.8 => /usr/lib/i686/cmov/libcrypto.so.0.9.8 (0x40080000)
libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x401b9000)
libz.so.1 => /usr/lib/libz.so.1 (0x402d2000)
libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x402e6000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x40000000)
