Hi folks,
A bit more on what is happening.
It seems that, at least when I use pine or alpine for these downloads, lynx is also attempting to unzip the file itself.
Any idea what might trigger this?

Hi all,
Hope I ask my question clearly.
Also that there is an option adjustment that may solve the problem, it did not happen when I used basic html gmail for these links.
Here is the situation.
I get a link, say to a zip file, stored on dropbox, although the destination is not the issue. In alpine, or pine, I agree to view the url, lynx is the associated browser, and lynx starts the download process. However, once done, there is a lynx temporary file that is trying to is the names of the files in the archive, instead of presenting the download information page, list that presents a suggested filename. I get the same issue in alpine, for some reason, lynx is creating a temporary file that impacts the final command to save the downloaded content.
Is my question clear?
what setting might impact say getting a zip archive?
Thanks,
Karen
