Now I note that if I specify, e.g. useragent="Lynx" i.e. Lynx with an upper case 'L', in the ~/.lynxrc then Google does NOT work. If I specify useragent="lynx" i.e. with a lower case 'l', then it does work. (Always remember the double quotes) It is all rather weird. I have no idea what goes on behind the curtains.
