Hello all. After several hours combing the archives
and various search
engines, I cannot figure out why my latest build of
lynx displays opaque
background colors on top of the Eterm backgrounds. I
figure is has something
to do with the changes made somewhere between
2.8.2dev9 (mandrake) and the
latest dev22.
I should mention that is I add -nocolor, the Eterm
background is visible but
none of the other text colors work (obviously).
Not a major thing, lynx just looks so much better with
color text in a borderless
semi-tranparent Eterm window over a great WindowMaker
theme. Now I have big
blackouts or whiteouts where lynx is running. Yuck.
I might having something to do with the ncurses
library that is loaded, but all
other apps don't have a problem. It might even be
something as knowing the
proper COLOR entry in lynx.cfg. Here are the ones
I've tried:
COLOR:0:white:nocolor (foreground white, background
is black)
COLOR:0:white:default (foreground white, background
is black)
COLOR:0:white (invalid syntax)
COLOR:0:default:default (foreground white, background
is black)
Also, were did lynx.lss support go? Lynx completely
ignores it.
Here is my build info:
Lynx Version 2.8.3dev.22 (12 Mar 2000)
Built on linux-gnu Mar 13 2000 11:53:20
Here is the command line of the config part of build:
./configure --enable-read-eta --enable-justify-elts
--enable-prettysrc
--enable-underlines --enable-font-switch --libdir /etc
--bindir /bin
-enable-default-colors --enable-color-style
Thanks in advance for your patience if this turns out
to be a lame question.
(One for FAQ.)
