No.  But usually you'll be offered a new one when you visit the same
site the next time.  You'll notice, unless you have chosen to auto-accept
(or auto-reject).

I doubt that that would be useful.

Most of the time, cookies don't disappear from the cookie jar by
strictly "expiring" (i.e. exceeding the expiriation date), but by being 
replaced with a new cookie, or simply by the end of session (for cookies
without expiration date).  Vanishing by exipiration is the least "dynamic"
way of dissappearing.
