If you turn off images in Opera 6 (File -> Preferences -> Multimedia) it's as fast as lynx on a decent system, and still handles frames. |& ability to call up Mutt to e-mail stories to friends |(which Opera explicitly cannot do for some reason: |yes, you can define a mailer, but no, you can't import the story). I haven't experimented with this. |i have broadband, but Lynx remains the best browser for this purpose. I still prefer lynx for text browsing (why use a sledgehammer when a tack hammer is called for?) but I suspect Opera comes in handy sometimes, if only for times frames really help. ; To UNSUBSCRIBE: Send "unsubscribe lynx-dev" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
