I am modifying external included .tex files extensively using 1.03.
It's very frustrating, because the "intelligent" decision about whether to
*really* run LaTeX when I tell it to "update Postscript" is still failing
to examine properly whether I've changed my included files. This has been
a continuing on again off again problem among these late versions of the
1.0 series.
What is the point of this unsuccessful attempt at "intelligence", anyway?
If I ask it to update postscript, running LaTeX is exactly what I want.
Even if there is some non-obvious justification for the "feature",
it should certainly be possible to turn it OFF!
