This is one thing that is one my agenda for a long time, but since I don't find the time to do it, I'd be glad if you'd volunteer, the more so as you already did the necessary insetcommand changes. Which package do you want to support? I always tended towards Markus Kohm's splitidx, because it does not waste LaTeX's write file ressources, and it seems to do its job quite well. Jürgen
