andrzej, 1) does it help to add
SET OUTPUT_CHARSET=cp-1250 into lyx.bat ? if so, does it help to replace it by SET OUTPUT_CHARSET=nonsense 2) are there correct dialogs labels ? i.e. open preferences and look whether there are only polish strings not mixed with english strings. If so, was is in 1.4.2 ? if you are interested read the thread "Problems with gettext output encoding on Windows" week ago. pozdravuju pavel
