Ah, here is the official request. ;) First: Is it worth the effort? How big is the speedup?
MSVC seems to benefit from pch more than gcc. I never had any first hand experience though.
Second: Was there not another endless discussion about precompiled headers between Bo and Lars? Is it now possible with scons?
At least for scons, it is not possible to do MSVC/PCH without including pch.h into xxx.C. You can read the archive (and cmake manual) to make your own judgement. Bo
