Let's start with easy things. Does the following patch restore display
of accelerators in menus? Is the display in status bar correct?
I suspect that multi key accelerators will not work properly. Could
you test them too?
What the patch does is just convert kb_sequence printing to output
docstring. Of course, there are many small associated cleanups.
