Yeap. One of the problems with .C is that .c and .C are the same under
windows, and caused some trouble in scons (which I overcame with some
efforts). When I used this as an argument, Lars, IIRC, refused to do
anything 'just for windoze', which sounds a bit condescending.

Seriously, condescending about sums it up. Sure, we should support all
platforms out there -- and I appreciate yours and others' willingness
to suffer for the good cause --, but let's keep our development process
a *nix one, as the good Lord intended ;-)

Anyway, seems I am outnumbered on this one.

FWIW, I agree with you, but we probably need a more rational argument to convince the heathens of their wayward ways...
