I think it is time to understand what are the interesting features in languages and to put them in the lib/languages file (probably by changing its format to match more closely layout files. On a question more related to the actual patch: is it really necessary to have special code in InsetTabular? This looks very zrong to me. Isn't there some incarnation of Font::latexWriteStartChanges that would work? JMarc
