I think being able to paste with the middle button is great, and I would really like that behaviour in Windows as well.

Me too but that is not the problem. Eventually this feature will come back on Windows too.


This is a clear consequence of Abdels patch but it doesn't harm since on Windows no program I know does paste via via the middle mouse button. I also don't think that we need to have "Unix feeling" on Windows.

With this reasoning we could you just skip LyX for Windows completely. After all, LaTeX/LyX and programs that work are kind of "unixy", aren't they ;-) ;-) ;-)

To be more serious, why should we restrict Windows users from functionality we appreciate elsewhere?

This is the other way around: why should we penalize all users (bug 3877) for a new Windows feature.
