Be careful. The only thing that delayed hyperref support is all the
incompatibilities we are going to encounter (like insisting that
\label{} should be outside of a \section{}).
do these problems bubble up even if only hyperref is loaded with no
additional parameters ?
In principle, yes, because the issue relates to the behavior of these
links, and they're generated automatically.
