Well, no :) But the question is this: is it worth the work to restrict the machanism (of inserting with multiple selected cells) to only font changes, just because non-font changes are not so common. Moreover the restriction you proposed will replace the uncommon/unexpected (but _not dangerous_) behavior by a no-op.
