Concerning this last patch, I think this is information that should find
its way into LyX' language file. It is strange that tex2lyx is able to
guess the right quotes but not LyX.
Such a new feature might be added to LyX 2.0svn. For branch we shouldn't add this - I therefore
committed my path there.
If lib/language has this information, then we could add a new "auto"
value for quote setting.
I don't understand how you will implement this in the UI. When I e.g. set the document language from
French to German will the quotes settings then automatically change from French to German quotes? If
so, can the user afterwards change the quotes type to the one he prefers?
I can add the info about quotes to the languages file, but won't have time right now to take care of
the UI part.
