I don't know, if this may be important.
I tried to use lyx in place (from the build dir). No memory misuse.
I than tried the installed lyx (e.g. stripped). But again nothing unusual.
Than I tried lyx, as I most of the time use.
        1.) with own userdir
        2.) with some debug output.
MEMORY use!!!

Here are the debug settings: -dbg 
action,find,info,init,key,gui,lyxserver,mathed,font,graphics,locale

The output is redirected to a file.

So I started it with own userdir, but without debug output.
And now, all is OK.
