Since a long time I have some time for LyX and ant to use is to enrich
it with some more features if possible. So if it is not urgent I would
be happy not to start the feature freeze before June.
I am not sure that the point when we discuss feature freeze is the right
moment for adding as many features as necessary. Nothing is never
urgent, but I think we have to draw the line as soon as possible and
just work towards an actual release.
This has nothing to do with the announcement of a soon feature freeze.
As you saw I had now some more time for LyX and used it to work on my
ToAdd list.
Nevertheless I like to have more frequent major releases. So fine with
me if you say feature freeze soon.
So I'm not working on any new feature and concentrate on bug fixing
after my box color feature is in. OK?
PS: also I guess a lot of documentation work will be needed; I remember
that for 2.1 is was a bit hurried, we will probably want to plan this time.
That would be nice. There are no so many features in 2.2 compared to
2.1. And things like horizontal scrollbar, Qt5 and HiDPI don't require
much documentation change.
