I wonder if it has something to do with the way fonts are rendered in Ubuntu, as opposed to Fedora. It's weird it happens in the former but not the latter, with the same Qt version. I've just checked again with master, and there's nothing here. I could do a valgrind thing of the same sort if you tell me what command to run. Richard
