No, I simply linked the whole directory
        $ ls -l ~/.fonts
        lrwxrwxrwx 1 kornel kornel 43 Aug 30 17:09 fonts -> 
/usr/local/texlive/current/texmf-dist/fonts
while 'current' may be 2019, 2018, etc
