Hello Pavel, I checked the Maxima and Octave operations listed in the document with both LyX 2.4.4 and 2.5.0 alpha, and I’m glad to confirm that all items reported as “not working” in 2.3.3 are now working fine.
I made a few changes in the attached document and appended 2.4.4 to its name so as to keep track of things. In a nutshell, I moved the "items that did not work before" into the ones that work and removed one redundant item. BTW, calling Octave from LyX appears to be much slower (like 10-20 times slower) than calling Maxima for even the simplest calculations. It was also very slow in 2.3.3, so that’s not new. It seems like the gui version of Octave is being called with the associated overhead rather than the client version. (Tested on Mac silicon). Best, Fatihcan
