I found another problem which is probably related: If I create a new file, edit it, and then close it before saving (e.g. with Command-W), an alert with text and three buttons appears: Discard / Save / Cancel. But none of these buttons accepts clicks. This window has the style of macOS 26. The main LyX window is greyed out. I still can quit LyX from the menu, or via Command-Q. Then another window with the same text and the same buttons appears, albeit styled in a more traditional way (smaller buttons, window more sharply rounded etc). This second window accepts input. For instance, I can click the discard-button, and then LyX quits as it should.
