As we’d like to pin down what is the problem, could you start LyX from Terminal
with the following command to output error messages before you undertake some
operations you can expect a crash?:
/Applications/LyX-2.5.0~devel/Contents/MacOS/lyx -dbg any
(If LyX’s installation name differs from "LyX-2.5.0~devel”, please change the
corresponding part in the above line accordingly.) Let us know what kind of
messages it outputs.
Also, if the language of the document that causes the problem differs from
English, please let us know.
