This is a totaly different aproach. The inline view is ALWAYS visible!
it does not need an own row and you ALWAYS enter it when moving with
the cursor. This is usefull if you put stuff in there you want to see
always and to edit easily (short stuff obviously otherwise it would not
have sense). While other stuff and stuff you put there 1 time and then
don't edit anymore is better off with the text viewed in the label and
the inset closed so you jump over it with the cursor when passing thru
that position.

Also if we would just enlarge the labelwidth all multiline latex stuff
would have a REALLY large label so we would need a way to define dynamically
the width of the label to please all of em. This way is quite clean and
hopefully pleases all of our "LaTeX" users.

But obviously I don't use it and I would be happy with the ERT Inset without
the inline feature, but then I don't use it.

So maybe we should hear the opinion of our users which have to use a lot
of LaTeX code inside their LyX files and see what they think about this.

P.S.: I didn't get your' mail Lars maybe I loose some mails here?
