if I remember well then the original 8.1 package was gcc 3.2-36
and the newest from a mirror is 3.2-43 (f. ex: at ftp://ftp.hu-berlin.de).
I for myself downloaded the latest from the RH site and compiled
it new and all works well now. But Lars said the 3.2.1 will come
out in the mid of this month.
