But "Überschrift" is definitly wrong. First, it is not always above the picture (the contrary is true). Second, I think on "header" when I read "Überschrift", and third, the typographic term is "Legende". "Bildunterschrift" is the only alternative I can think of, but what is with tabulars? (In general I'm rather reluctant on the idea of translating the LaTeX terms) Jürgen.
