Yes, it is. But ...
1.) Open with lyx 1.4
2.) Save as ...
3.) edit the lyx-file with say vi
4.) remove lines
- height "0pt"
- height_special "totalheight"
5.) reopen with lyx 1.4
6.) DVI-output now ok
