This means that we should add the fonts only if we know that Qt has
been compiled without fontconfig support. How can we find out about
that?

It would be nice to find get rid of this xfonts stuff when it is not
needed.

Also, we should investigate whether we can replace our latex-xft stuff
with the fonts in mathml-fonts

I do not know what are the linux distributions that package
mathml-fonts. Should we distribute a package from our ftp site?

It would be nice, especially since our latex-xft misses eufm10 (I
think), and this is requested by mathed, so that addFontPath is always
invoked.
