Cool, could you please send me your dvipng.exe?

I have no problem in doing that but it is a cygwin application
which thinks she is dealing with tetex and it only works because
I have a bunch of scripts which make it appear as if I have tetex
when in effect I am using miktex...

I hate simple solutions ;-)

;-) and I hate cygwin.

However, I can offer you another solution for circumventing a broken
dvipng. You don't need deleting dvipng.exe if you use the two scripts
attached here. They are the ones I was using when I had the broken
dvipng.

Many thanks, I will test them.
