Sure but multiple versions will converge eventually at one point of time; and freedom to develop what you want would be encouraged. And who knows which copy will be the master at the end ;-)

No, the question is what "trust" means for you. I reckon that it means that one can gain trust from you if and only if he follow your way of working to the letter.
