I've just installed Lyx1.4.2 using the (small) Windows installer, and spellcheck does not seem to be working. When I do Tools->Spellcheck I get a message:
The file d:/msys/local/lib/aspell-0.60/is08859-1.cst cannot be opened for reading
-- and perfectly correct, too: the entire installation is on my C drive. At a guess, something was left in hardcoded which shouldn't have been: can anyone tell me what needs to be fixed, so I can do it by hand?
