Can anyone confirm this problem? (linux)

the /tmp/..../newfile1.pdf is successfully re-generated (tested using
xpdf), but "acroread /tmp/.../newfile1.pdf" will not do anything since
acrobat reader thinks the file is not changed.
This is worse than '.pdf can not be overwritten.'..
Confirmed and very well known too. Acrobat is stupid, it doesn't
re-read the file when it changes. But this is not a problem, for linux
have _better_ pdf viewers anyway. (Better in this regard, at least.)
I use xpdf, which doesn't have this problem at all. There are
other viewers for linux as well. Linux users simply don't need
acrobat, and some of us doesn't even have a choice. There is
no acrobat reader for 64-bit linux, but xpdf is open source so
it exists and works for every linux there is.
Do windows users really only have a single useable choice in pdf readers?
