OK, well it is easy to tell you what to do in gdb. The other issue is we
have to make sure you have debug symbols. Are LyX's debug symbols
available in a separate package that you can install on Fedora? For
example, on Ubuntu they are in the package lyx-dbg.

I see. And can you reproduce only if you open from the recent files?
What if you navigate manually from the File > Open dialog?

OK good. If you can't reproduce, then it is hard to debug.
