First, my name is now visualized (I hope so). Please be patient with me if
I often use crlfr.
Second: as in your hint, I have seen the user guide 5.6.1. Before I made a
mistake, I unintentionally skip it, and I checked "advanced..". Sorry.
third: I'm using lyx1.1.6fix3 on GNU/Linux Mandrake 8.1.
Both the hints:
1) C-m
2) C-m
3) H
and
1) C-m
2) M-m r (M-c r as in the user guide)
3) H
Seems to work fine. They seem to produce the same character, so I think to
use both.
I checked my previous .lyx file (using less <filename.lyx>) and I paste here
below two of the section that were critical:
############################################
---------------------------------------------------------
the lyx code:
\begin_inset Formula \( \textrm {K}\left( \mu ^{2}+\sigma ^{2}\right) \)
\end_inset
results in:
formula disappeared after saving the file, closing it and re-opening it.
---------------------------------------------------------
the lyx code:
\latex default
\begin_inset Formula \( \textrm {n}_{k_{q}} \)
\end_inset
results in:
formula disappeared after saving the file, closing it and re-opening it.
---------------------------------------------------------------
the lyx code:
\begin_inset Formula \( i_{max}=\left( round\left( \textrm {H}/\textrm
{h}_{q}\right) -1\right) \)
\end_inset
results in
Latex error during the Xdvi run. The error message indicate a right
delimitator is expected but not found: it seems to me that \textrm {H} is
interpreded as \right. I am sorry
but I can not copy and past such warning : How could I make such a copy?
Also the log file, I can only view but not copy and paste it. Some
suggestion about this copy-and-paste matter? (for curiosity purpose)
--------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for the help
Carlo
