The behaviour of the popup dialog is a little bit odd. If I remember right, you need to TAB from the 10cm-field to another field to make the setting permanent (it will vanish if you just [save] after inserting the fixed width). The next oddity is, that linebreaks with Ctrl-Enter will just change the Look-On-Screen (again, if I remember right) and not go to the output. while the autmatic line-wrapping occures only in the dvi output.
