texhash is used if you add new class, package, or font in texmf database. If not, that is not necessary. try to run, $ kpsewhich yourclass.cls if no answer, you haven't this class. You must download the class then copy it in the texmf directory, then run texhash, with a simply command: $ texhash (as a root/superuser) the last is try to reconfigure the lyx. Wayan
