My LaTeX class happens to require that the \title and \author appear in the preamble, so that the class can issue its own \maketitle or a similar macro during its \AtBeginDocument. Setting the wisdom of such a design choice aside, this leaves my .layout efforts in a state where the user must fill in their \title and \author info in Layout | Document | Preamble, and thus the title won't appear in the main LyX document at all (though of course it will show up in the Views).
I'm guessing that I'll have to redesign the class to allow \title, \author and \maketitle in the document, if I want to be able to see them in LyX. Am I right, or is there some way to handle this situation with the .layout file?
