New to lyx and just testing a few things out. Specificaly how lyx handles
linuxdocs with graphics. The problem that I have run into is that my version
does not seem to be able to handle conversion of figures (images). While they
appear inline ( as png, jpg, jpeg or ps) they do not render when viewed with
DVI or HTML.
To test this I used the docbook example file, docbook_article.lyx and tried to
view it with HTML. No images, Next I exported it to pdf, no images. Hmm so I
guess I must be missing some dependencies that are part of the image
processing engine for lyx. Reviewing the listed dependencies I have all those
installed.
Version of lyx is lyx-1.3.4-1suse82and90.i386.rpm System is SuSe8.2

So it seems that a number of dependancies were not met, some critical to image
import and export, yet it installs without warnings. Am I correct on this or
have been spending too many hrs in the dark..:) Specifically, anyone have an
idea what the requirements are for figures (images) as there seems to be a
lot of stuff missing and I if possible I like to limit the search. Many
